If youre going to CT or in a hurry for boston run 84E from scranton into danbury but DO NOT STOP at any of the 3 "text stop rest stop" areas starting at port jervis. DOT there is corrupt. and no i will not say another word about it i dont care how much you muther fluffers razz me about it, i told you everything you need to know, dont stop. If you have to sleep get off at matamoras walmart last exit in PA.
If you have time or are going to NH/VT run 81 north to binghamton then 88 to 90 and thruway onto mass pike.
Either of these routes were under $13 for a 5 axle. Albany is sooo much nicer for boston because you skip danbury, waterbury and hartford. And NYC/bridgeport/new haven entirely. -
Everything else (Lincoln, Holland, GW) is the same price because they're controlled by the port authority.RunningAces Thanks this. -
The even better option, although the hardest route is to find direct shippers & lock down profitable contracts.GreenPete359 Thanks this. -

only added about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic there.
same going north if the GW had a accident or detour due to construction, as well as again, the cross bronx being screwed up.
i never relied on the cb radio for that information. i relied on AM 880 out of NY traffic every 10 minutes.
radio 1010 i think it was, is just as good in traffic reports.
too many super truckers telling you the traffic was all backed up, when it never was.....bunch of jerkwads. -
