Same radio as except looks. I think the balck chrome has talkback. Good radio just get it peaked and tuned by a good shop and your good to go.

Also i need a new antenna i wanna stick to the steel whip but i don't want magnet mount anymore and was thinking about something that attaches to my bed frame but i don't know what brand is good i was wanting something good but not too expensive( laid off from job). and i don't want a 102" but i want a tall one like 5'.
Thanks

Check out the browning or predator high power broadband antennas. These are two of the best in my opinion. Both are very good. I have a Predator 10K I would part with if your interested let me know.

The Black Chrome 29's are pretty sharp looking, but scratch very easily. The lights are blue and very annoyingly BRIGHT .
For price and durability a Wilson 2000 is very hard to beat($65) I prefer to use Predator Antennas ($75) but they cant take a beating like the Wilson 2k's without repairs.
You might also look into a Cobra 25,their great radios and generally much cheaper. In a 4 wheeler they take up less space and can do virtually anything a 29 can do(35 watts thru a dummy load) which should get you out about 10 miles or so . -
Can anyone recomend an online place where i can get a new antenna. i looked at the ones above but i don't think they'll work for where i wanna put the base.
Thanks

Well you said you wanted something to mount to the bed frame. Not sure what you mean by that exactly. The predator comes in a 27" shaft which is one of the tallest you can find. If your talking about mounting directly behind the cab to the bed that should work. You can check out bobs cb shop or sparkys cb shack just google them and you will find them.

This is the way i was looking to mount it to the bed frame. will one of the preadators mount like that?
-
Absolutely. Thats what i was talking about too. I would mount it center of the cab but that would work also. The corner will tend to be a little more directional but the main thing is to get the coils above the top of the cab.

Thanks for the information on the antenna im just use to picking one up from walmart or radio shack. now i just have to figure out which one of the many to get. and i can't get to crazy with the height my dad would kill me if i got a 102" whip but i know it needs to be taller than the cab.
