They are screwing you. I too had blind side parallel park for my skills test in FL. I was given truck length +15 feet. For that maneuver. I'd of raised hell if I were you about that. Maybe you'll get a better tester next go around. Best of luck to you..

You might also get a 5th wheel restriction, (assuming you're using a gooseneck ball) & an auto transmission restriction if your truck is not a manual. If you don't need it, you don't need it. Seen some guys test in their hotshot rigs before..Haulinhooves Thanks this.

Maryland gives you 10, at least that’s how it was when I got mine.MartinFromBC and Haulinhooves Thank this.

Yes. First I asked what the length was and when she said +5, I asked her for more . Denied lolsinglescrewshaker and MartinFromBC Thank this.

I was just reading CA skills test. It shows this exact same image, section 12.4 I believe. Except does not mention "length of vehicle" or + any amount of feet. Do some searching or calling around to other test sites. Maybe they will know. Length of rig + 5 feet is asking alot for a test..Haulinhooves Thanks this. -
I did something like that once. The local power company had an employee testing. They used a day cab with a flat bed trailer. Single axle truck and trailer with air brakes. They got the same combo license as everyone else and it was a piece of cake. Barrow a flat bed and save some grief.
Know the rules. If you back into the spot and are on the line I thank it cost one point. If you pull forward to correct I thank it costs three. Ten points and your out? -
I never did that maneuver when I got my cdl but see if your state has a class a without the cdl part NC does and you dont need a medical but you cant haul for hire and never had a problem for over 10 years no restrictions on what you haul and only a 25 question test at the dmv and bam your legal (at least in NC Florida doesn't have that)

I was using a flatbed.
