Watkins-Shepard Acquired by Schneider

Hey there. Interested in applying for OTR LTL for Schneider which is obviously Watkins. How is that account? That have a position in Lakewood Washington or Vancouver Washington. Just wondering what the trucks are like, sort of miles, etc. Thank you

 

KInd of like Verizon Wireless where I worked in IT for many years before being outsourced, they too also bought companies trashed them, then sold them off after gutting them and the employees. Bad pipe dreams of big shots, then oh well it was not a big deal anyway, except for employees who got trashed in their over 45+ 50+ years old , where are they going to get hired ? SNI ? omg please. There has to be another way... online biz selling crap ? I dont know

Does WS do pre-emp hair follicle too, now? Schneider does.

 

Not a WS employee but my company in conover uses the same DOT doctor as them for their terminal out of there. Saw one guy (a WS employee) get turned away and was complaining because he didn’t have enough or long enough hair for the test. This was February of this year.

So did Schneider just close up Watkins’ operations and lay off everybody that wasn’t a driver who was willing to switch to pumpkin OTR?
