Guess who is the first target for insurance fraud when these driverless trucks are out on the road. There are some crazy people out there that have nothing to lose, if they can get money and be set for the rest of their life, you know #### well they going to slam the brakes in front of a driverless truck and it's pay out time from the trucking company and the company that makes the driverless trucks.

Heres the latest footage of a self driving Tesla driving into another vehicle and bursting into flames on the freeway. A self driving truck would be a really bad situation.

Or fuel the truck at Pilot.
Or make sure some ####### didn't pull the pin, or turn off the reefer or open up all the tarp boxes.
Or what happens when a trailer air bag goes out or a retred detreds and tears a mudflap bar off and pulls it into an airbag causing the entire load to destabilize? Does it just keep on rolling because the tire didn't deflate?
Or park the truck at the weigh station for DOT to do an inspection or put the truck out of service for any of the things that a computer can't possibly monitor? Who is going to drive 1/2 way across the country to retrieve it if it could do all that?
Or clean off the sensors that aren't all that accurate anyway, my brand new truck gives me abs + brake assist errors daily causing the distance monitoring to be disabled and cruise control to drive me right into the back of the vehicle in front of me if I use cruise control. Would the truck just stop in the middle of the interstate or just keep on trucking?
Or who is going to find an alternate route when something happens and the interstate is shut down? Do they just trust in Garmin after preaching against it for decades?
And some of you think they should put 500 gallon tanks on that while airplanes only have to roll a few hundred feet down a straight wide open clear 0 traffic road to take off electronically yet they still employ 2 pilots on every airplane?D.Tibbitt, shogun and MartinFromBC Thank this.
