For me, discussing how good or bad a company is, has to be based on who you are comparing it too.
I am comparing Roehl to other training companies. (A company that has its own school and hires drivers from that school and offers new cdl training.) Some of the other options of this type are Swift, CRE, USA/PAM, Central, Schneider, Stevens, Prime, Watkins, Millis, etc.
So I try and compare apples to apples.... (Im not going to compare Roehl to a company that only hires drivers with 2 or 3 yrs experience)
Thats the way I see it said the blind man!

Fooman I can compare Roehl to another company that hires only experienced drivers. Take a look under bad trucking companies and look for Mcleod. One thing I will say for Roehl is that they expect you to run legal. I would recommend Roehl for anyone just starting out. I can also compare them to Star out of Morton.
I came to Roehl as an experienced driver, very independent, and having been a trainer with the last company I had been with (excluding the four month mistake of Mcleod.) My opinions are colored by the fact that I hate every second I am away from home and I don't need someone sitting at a desk telling my how to drive my truck as well as my own personality. I try to give my views from my point of view and try to be as realistic as possible. Obviously I don't hate working for Roehl since I have been here a year and will probably be here at least another year, I just need one of my dsrs to back off and let me do my job. -
I just got a call from Jayden, he told me to fill out my application and he has a few van positions. I have <6 months and I have been trying to get a job. It has been tough. What is their traiing pay? And how long will I have to train with someone b/f I go solo. I can assume I will be out of the Ellenwood terminal as well.

In what way is this DSR making it hard? I had a disagreement with one of my DSR's a few weeks back. I got a call from my fleet manager because my other DSR mentioned something to him. I explained my situation and reminded him of my job requirements and he was great about resolving the issue. Good luck.

I would like to know.

I googled the "touchless 5th wheel release" part of it and came up with the company. It starts with an "M" ...

As far as DSR's, the one my husband has now is decent, does what he can for him and vice versa. I had mentioned yesterday about how he had asked to be home for Friday morning but had a load going to the other side of Chicago and was concerned about actually making it in. His DSR called him this morning with the same concern and found another driver for him to relay with. They're meeting up by Cleveland and swapping trailers so my husband will then head towards Syracuse while the other driver goes back to Chicago area, then after he offloads he'll dh home (we're less than 100 miles from Syracuse). So far any time he's asked to be home he's been able to get here, which is a pleasant surprise compared to his last company it was like pulling teeth and yanking nails to get them to get him by the house for anything.
The company's not perfect by any means, but we're fortunate to get a decent DSR making it pleasant at times. -
Hey everyone, can anyone tell me if Roehl hires in SE Louisiana. Thanks and be safe.
