Thankfully, the mexican guys don't have the credentials or the time doing wind in this country to be any competition. I've moved alot out of the piers in houston and i've seen quite a few canadian folks moving em. Their temetko schnaubel's are high quality stuff. The're pretty easy to break down and set up.

There is no slow down of components traveling thru this corner of the world.

Trains and trucks. If any thing its picking up.

I got a laugh one day just last week as I passed a west bound convoy of components and looked over to the east bound side to see a very similar convoy of components going east.
Hey if you geniuses would just get some organization going on here, you could save a lot of money in transport costs.

You got that right. I got nailed with a 10 hour shutdown in Olathe, KS one afternoon. About 5 that evening some heavy hauler out of Ohio pulled in empty. I swear that sum*itch was 300 feet long.

When they got on the ramp to the coop, one guy jumped out, ran back to the rear, started an aux engine and was steering the back like a hook and ladder!! I counted 128 wheels on the ground and the guy said it was NOT their biggest unit!!! If I remember right he said that particular unit could handle 750,000 lbs and the "big boy" #### near a million!!

He also said that in an emergency, the rear steering unit could be operated from the cab! What a show seeing them part that monster for the night. All of it, custom built by the company itself. Wish I could remember the name of the outfit.

Now that ain't your definition of "cheap freight".

HA!!! I hauled a load of fiberglass insulation out of McPherson, KS up to Edmonton, Alberta. Then got a dispatch down to Calgary and got a load of (TA DA!!!) fiberglass insulation back into the states!!! What's wrong with THIS picture???

On the same trip, I guess I was the lucky 10th (or 50th, or whatever) number to get pulled for a full "rectal" examination at customs. Or maybe they didn't like what they saw on the X-ray machine.

Anyhow, after 45 minutes of going thru the truck and trailer, they pronounced me "good to go". I was laughing my arse off, and they asked what was so funny. Told 'em you guys better load up on Calamine lotion because you're going to ITCH for days!!!!!

I stiill laugh to to this day
