Curious how many companies are out there that can make accomodations for religious reason. IE. not being able to work from Sundown on Friday to Sundown on Saturday and a few other days during the year. I am not necessarily talking about being home for the weekend but not having to drive..
days off

Probably not what you want to hear but companies don't care about your religious practices as long as they don't conflict with their schedule. It is very unlikely they would allow that unless it just happened to work out that way for you. A small local company might be more willing to but still unlikely in my opinion. There are many things you have to adjust about your life in this field and your religion practices are just one of many.
-
Ask around at your place of worship and see if anyone there can help you. People on the outside will not care.
-
Yea, unless you are working for a company where the owner observes the holiday and therefore passes it down to his employees (very unlikely), you won't see any companies who do this.
-
Not likely. Most trucking companies want the frieght moved and don't make exceptions for religions.
-
Not sure how many companies could accommodate that, just from a productivity state. Can' drive from Friday nite to Sat nite, that tends to limit what one can do, even as a drive. I know Con-way Truckload does let drivers opt out of hauling alcohol due to religion. Had one driver try to opt out of hauling a load pork rinds due to religious beleifs.

HAHAHAHAHAHA How'd that work out... Truth is if you wants to pick and choose your days of operation and product you haul then Go OO. -
LOL..I just did that Friday sundown to Saturday sundown...and I'm still waiting, gonna pass Sunday sundown also...product not ready till 2200...and no I didn't plan it, but I do have that wonderful 34 hr restart so I will be ready to roll legal like at 2200!
-
very, very unlikely. all these companies care about is the movement of freight.
-
