Mountain Spirit, you can also call the local cops and they can tell you where to go. All states will/should have a local version of the FBI. Mine was the OK. State Burea of Investigation. Went in, filled out a form, pain (I think) $15 and 15 minutes later, walked out with a notarized form of my criminal record.

Ya know, i find myself kind of jealous at times, reading this thread. Would have loved having JJ or 6 pack or some of the others mentioned as trainers. Would have probably made my 1st 6 mos, quite a bit easier for me. Hoping to meet some of ya'll 1 day. Talked to several Central drivers now and have sent them to this site. Maybe ya'll will hear from them 1 day.

I'll be happy with any trainer anywhere near the guys here. I just want to learn it well and learn it right. BTW saw a black Central truck on highway 84 yesterday from the waterpark in Boise yesterday if anyone was driving through.

So here goes the story of trainers with me. First, I thought I was going to get JJ. It didn't happen because(from what I heard) there were other trainers with more years in waiting for students. I was a little upset but I got over it. Enter trainer #2. Great guy from what I was being told and a big plus was that he too lived about 30 minutes from the terminal and was back in Salt Lake every 4th day or so. I would get a small break to go home!! He has a dedicated run from Salt Lake to Ohio(where I am originally from) and took I-80(which I know pretty good). I met him today and then he got a phone call from his FM/DM. He got off the phone and told me to go upstairs and talk to a certain person. It turns out that his last student, which he got done with last Friday, said he didn't train him right. They yanked him from me and set me up with another trainer. Enter trainer #3. I just met him at 3pm today. Seems like a really nice guy. We both like riding motorcycles. We will see. I guess we are leaving tomorrow. His truck needs some service so it will get it tonight. He has a load that is scheduled to be delivered Monday. Not sure what it is or where it's going.

just for the record... you dont need anyones permission to record them. a telephone conversation can be recorded as well as long as 1 person involved knows it is being recorded. BOTH parties do NOT have to know a conversation is being recorded.

Probably better you didn't get the guy running from SLC to OH!

You wouldn't have learnt to do multiple stops and how to manage your time on longer runs and sounds like #2 was using students for miles!

Which totally sucks and you will be running 48 states and you need to train with a trainer that runs 48 states and not a semi dedicated guy.

Also good to hear Central pulled #2 trainer due to bad feedback from his previous student. If trainers are aware their future as trainers rests on the students feedback then they will do their best job training.

There will probably be times when you get tired and peeved with your trainer. You have a lot to learn in a very short time.

In your spare time go through all the different messages on the QC so you have a rough idea which messages are for who and what.

If you have a memory for numbers like me:biggrin_2552: write down your trailer # as you will need to put it on Macro's everyday.

JJ can remember numbers and I am hopeless I have to ask him most days what is the trailer # again and he very patiently tells me once again.

The first few days out with a trainer you will have info overload.

The only dumb question is the one you don't ask!

    rakusa and bullet888 Thank this.
