Knowing this, it's hard to believe you were considering 'shakers......(grin)

T660 T800 W900, all good bets, just hood preference/looks, and can get the 86" studio on any of the three. I don't know how many trucks you are looking at buying, but if it is say 10, and you bought 9 KWs and one of those goofy 'shakers, it would be more than interesting to see how it held up vs the KWs after 3-4 years.

I'm sure glad we talked you outta those 'shakers. I doubt you'll regret going with KW.

Just curious, what are you taking in/out of Alaska freight wise? HHG?

there is no more seattle interior since they don't make trucks in seattle anymore. it's too bad, it was a real nice interior package

Okay........IMO.........Your search is over........W900 all the way!

You'll sacrifice a little with maneuverability, but an experienced driver should have no problem negotiating tight places. Just don't put a rookie driver behind the wheel and expect much success maneuvering in tight places.

As far as sleepers are concerned, it's going to come down to length and weight. For tight places: Nothing over 86" IMO. For weight: Wouldn't be able to recommend anything without knowing the trailer weight and MAXIMUM payload you'll be carrying.

Oh...... and with a 86" studio sleeper (and I'm "assuming") a reefer trailer, your probably looking at a maximum payload capacity of about 42,000 lbs. (give or take a little).

I don't have any particular knowledge or experience with the above statement, but I thinks it's close. Other drivers out their will be able to pin it down a liitle closer than I have.

Soooooo.......You drivers that have direct knowledge...... Please weigh in. (pun intended).

I'll try not to be biased but i've seen it first hand. you ought to put more thought into your drivetrain preferences than the truck. for the reliability factors. i wont mention a name for proper purposes but stay away from the yeller twin engine jobbers if you go new. no matter how good of a deal it is. good luck

That weights gonna be real close.
