Mine works good off the built in truck antenna. Off analog I couldn't pick up anything at Tacoma, with digital I get 26 channels very clear. The funny thing is I get more than one channel on one channel ie: 6-1, 6-2 6-3. Not sure how that works or why.
Isn't Canada going digital very soon? -
I been thinkin bout all this after cdl school is done. Thought directv with that mobil antenna (tracvision) would be cool but it is BIG $ (msrp $2,995)
. Prob be a big pain to set up a regular dish during down time.

I have a Dish sattelite. Takes 10 minutes to set it up. Look at V-Quebe, $600-$700.

If you have Dish service at home you can get a receiver for the truck for an additional $5 a month but you'll need to get the dish also .
ctbird53 Thanks this. -
Yeah , the time in Canada is limited .

Native Dancer is absolutely right. Finding elevation, adjusting dish, finding satellite all under 10 minutes good to go.

OK we have it figured out... I had a converter box and hubby hooked that up and it works great. so if you all can get a converter box.. that is the way to go till you want to buy the newer TVs.
Panhandlepat,do you use bungie cords to strap the tv down with non skid mat underneath the TV? -
That's how I have mine set up. I originally bought it for the truck. The wife was with me and wanted to know why I was wasting money on that junk. When we got home I set it up temporarily ( I thought ) at the house. A month later when I was getting ready to leave by myself she said "You aren't taking the dish are you? I really like it." As you said got the extra reciever from Dish and 5 dishes with LNBs at a yard sale for $4.00 and I was good to go.

Wow! Negative on paying all that. What several others said - VuQube. We are an authrorized dealer and have them all in stock. Just call me to find out which style you want and about how they work.
$749 - V10 model. You use the remote to dial in the signal when you stop.
$1289 - V20 model. Push a button and it finds the signal for you in 10 - 20 seconds.
$1589 - V30 model. Same as the V20 above but also stays on the signal when moving so you can have satellite TV while in motion.
No tax. One year warranty. Free tech support. Uses Dish Network or DirectTV.Last edited: Jun 29, 2009
