    Cabinover101:

That’s a neat way to try and center a drum.

It does makes sense that a loose wheel and drum will hang down on the studs or the hub under gravity and be off by 20-35 thou which is a lot.

When I used the feeler gauge, I adjusted all three until they were 20 thou each, drum and wheel together.

I put one gauge in at the bottom with no weight there, spin the wheel, the weight will then sit on that feeler gauge. Then the same with the other two until I got all three adjusted and even.

    Cabinover101 Thanks this.

Wrong tire for the application. You have a tire designed for regional (city) use, if you run them on the highway they wear about 1/8-1/4" in from the edges. A highway tire has a decoupling groove on the outer edge.
