The last time I went to Fastenal they had just stopped being a retailer. Like, within that week. If you have need to go there often, they have a membership available for $25 or 50 per year.

you mean....as long as it's AMERICAN MADE......
i'd NOT chance anything a life depends on, made in China, and i am as sure as all heck, Chinese nuts/bolts are available.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
If they are the bolts and nuts with shouldrs built on them so you don't have to use washers, and the treads are not bad, I would reuse them before I used bolts with washers, but that is just me. I have not had any luck finding bolts like actual frame bolts with the shoulders built on the nuts, someone has to have them though.

I buy those bolts and nuts at trailer repair shop/dealer.

What is your plan for all your future loads ? Are you going to unbolt your 5th wheel every time ?
You can look in to an onboard scale for the future so you can fix it right at the shipper . -
Aluminum and steel went up 25%.

I have not encountered this at my local store?
But I also have a business account set up with them. -
It's a tanker. In this case a single hole trailer, which had 34020# on the trailer tandems. So, once I set the 5th wheel it should be good with other tanks, as long as the tank is distributed properly. I do want to scale a gas load, with multiple compartments, to make sure I'm ok there too. I can load those trailers differently to spread the weight.
Volvo supplied me with hardened steel flat washers to go with the bolts. I'll have to see if the originals have them.
Also, I found out Sheetz (the original lessee) had an issue with 5th wheels not set right from the factory. They moved some.spsauerland Thanks this. -
What an improvement! I just went one hole, and the truck drives so much better. It doesn't want to wander as much, and I think it rides better. I didn't think I'd feel an improvement and wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't felt it myself.
I did not get to scale it yet.HoneyBadger67 and spsauerland Thank this. -
Scale gave me 11760# steer, 33240# drives, 33720# on the trailer, with half a tank of fuel, so it moved about 480# off the steers onto the drives.
