Most companies NO, at least no big companies, they would rather have someone straight off the tit..
There will be jobs available to where you can get your recent verifiable experience at though, you may just have to look a little harder.

Most states will upgrade your license back to a CDL-A when you have a current DOT physical.
Take you physical DOT card to the DMV and show it to them.
Contact the company you want to work for and let them know what's going on and that you're ready to hit the road.Last edited: Aug 20, 2019

I know insurance has a roll in it, but.
Most megas want a school grad or 2 years verifiable, and they do not have an insurance co to answer to.
When I was hiring drivers, my insurance company absolutely would not let me hire anybody that hadn't had heir cdl for 2 years, or much of any violations, they never, ever ask for any previous work history. -
You have to register your new medical card at the DMV.

Thank you everybody for the replies. I got in touch with the DMV via phone it took an hour but they looked up my license info and I’m good to go as soon as I submit my medical in person to an office.
