No, he means you can replace the clutch. Clutch replacement in iShift is pretty common, just like anything else. They will last forever if you know how to drive one. It's an automated manual, still has a clutch.

On the 2020 Volvo I drove the pedal had a notch in it for you to put it to the floor. When pushed all the way it would shift at 1800-1900rpm. Downshifting it would do the same. That's the only time I really used manual mode, was to prevent it from downshifting.
The 2012 one I drove didn't have the notch in the pedal and shifted around 1650.daf105paccar and 86scotty Thank this. -
And the Peterbilt?
When would it upshift? -
In auto mode it would shift at like 1400-1500 and sometimes skip a gear! Which would put it at 1000rpms, so I always used manual mode. It also depends a lot on how the truck is programmed from the company, most are set up for maximum economy.

Eh, doesn't matter much for now. Gonna have to wait til november now. The place I'm at doesn't let anyone that has been driving for an O/O to jump to being O/O til they have a year under the person they've been driving for. Not too big of a deal but kind've annoying.

The petes with the automatic seem to take a long time between shifts. The ishift I find to be very smooth and have good tempo to the shifts. Thats the biggest difference Ive noticed between the two.

I shifts only downfall is on downshifting without kick down mode it makes hills. A pain to get thru besides that nothing else u can say on driving comfort pulling and all
