If its cheaper to automate they will do it.

Many reasons to do it.

1. Less space needed on tractor for living space = more fuel economy.

2. Tarping and cleaning and all such will be done at the shipper and points along the route.

3. Just like unmanned aerial vehicles, as i said before on another post the next step would be having desktop jockey.

4. It’s not hard to incorporate heaters into the sensors to make sure they are warm and not frozen. The amount saved on the sleeper not being needed can be spent on the system to keep the sensors warm and have have backup sensors just in case.

5. With the coming of electric trucks and hybrids like the Nikola One tractor is not to far off to have a tractor run 1000 miles between refills or even enough fuel for 3000 mile trip, once again weight saved on the sleeper not being needed can be transferred into having 300 kg hydrogen tank.

6. If it is not feasible to have a driverless tractor then why are the big name manufacturers testing things out and making them for road testing? They know its coming.

I lean towards blaming the CIA/deep state for Kennedy's assassination. As we all know, Kennedy threatened to break the CIA into a thousand pieces. This coupled with Bush daddy acting squirrelly when he was asked where he was during the assassination of Kennedy and his being photographed near the book depository where Oswald was said to have shot Kennedy.

Also, as we all know, Bush became head of the CIA later on. I doubt we will ever know the real truth.
