Highest paying LTL trucking company

If you go from day cab to sleeper team nothing "restarts".
But if you are to transfer to a different location it must be within your Teamster local. With our local you would go to the bottom of the seniority board but keep your pay scale. Some others might be different.

But if you wanted to go to a different location outside of your local, you pretty much have to quit and re apply to the new location and start all over again, unless you fall into certain circumstances.
UPS isn't very transfer friendly.

 

I only knew one guy that ever transferred and he was a preloader and used school as the reason.

 

At top rate I don't think any sleeper team runs even gross that low lol even the 3 1/2 day a week runs!

 

There would have to be an act of God to only make $2,000. Lol

 

... And even then, you would be on the clock during the act of God. Lol

 

School is one of the circumstances. Military is another. And if your run gets moved to a different location you can follow the work.
Those are a few. There might be a few more.

Kinda sucks. I would love to transfer.

 

If I could have transferred I might still work there. Probably not but maybe, I do honestly miss driving a package car.

 

Anyone have a guess what you could expect to make first year on a team. I know ups drivers don't make much the first couple years party from low pay rate and partly from lack of miles, I figure if you go team you would at least be getting some good miles in.

 

If you are looking to get hired in Chicago, they just increased starting pay by a great deal. There's no reason you wouldn't make six figures your first year.

 

And even if you are looking to get hired at another terminal where you start out at the original contractual rate, teams are pretty much exempt from those slow first couple years. They make bank regardless.
