Haul them jeans out , but in a reefer then bounce over to salinas and grab a load of garbage back to the carolinas, or even to hunts point, lots of trucks ran a route similar to that in the 70's.
thelushlarry and cathyNYC Thank this. -

Clearly I have a LOT to learn. Thank you.

Sorry about that, but to be truthful, unless they have stopped, they actually do haul household garbage cross country. A lot of new york citys garbage gets buried in NM and Nv, but is hauled by train. or was.at least.
cathyNYC Thanks this. -
That is mind-boggling to me. Thank you for the info.

Recommendations:
1. Lose the “jumpy/cranky” aspect. That makes for an extremely crappy driver. That’s bad for business. If you’re going to create a driver, at the very least he should be good at what he does.
2. The runaway hitchhiker. They would stick a MALE driver UNDER the jail for crossing the state line with a minor. For the hitchhiker thing to work, the driver has to be female.
3. Has to have a dog. Nothing says Good People like being an animal lover. And service animals are quite common among PTSD people.
4. Giver her an interesting cargo and in interesting truck. There’s nothing interesting about a dry van (no offense, people). Hazmat tanker. Nope...wouldn’t work with the dog. Bed bugger (a person that moves people’s furniture from one side of the country to the other. It would also allow you to tie in the hitchhiker.) And a real transmission, a 13 speed.homeskillet, cathyNYC and AModelCat Thank this. -
thanks for this.
i should have said jumpy/cranky in relation to other people. as other people perceive him.
interesting point about the crossing state lines—that gives me another challenge i can give to the characters.
are animals allowed in company trucks?

If other people perceive him as jumpy/cranky, then he’s can’t be a good driver.cathyNYC Thanks this.
