Hey Guys,
I run a 2004 International 4300 Forestry Bucket truck for my tree business, powered by the DT466 and an Eaton 6-speed.
The truck is really clean, with 140,000 miles on it.
Recently, I’ve started having intermittent loss of power issues. I’ll be driving the truck at any rate of speed, and I completely lose power, like someone turned the key off. The brake pressure sensor light and alarm come on immediately, as well as a yellow ‘ENGINE’ light.
Anyone had a similar experience, or have some things in mind to look for?
Thanks

Update:
We took the fuel tank off and cleaned it out, replaced the pre-filter screen and fuel filter.
There wasn’t an alarming amount of sediment in the tank, and the issues have continued. -
There are 2 connectors in the battery box, 2 beside the starter, and 1 by the firewall that are the main powers and grounds for ECM, IDM and TCM, since yours is a 6 speed it won’t have the TCM they are notorious for getting moisture in them and causing poor connection that can cause all types of issues from low power, to no starts. If it hasn’t been done I would recommend cutting out those connectors and soldering the wires together. You can follow the wires from the battery box to figure out which ones I am talking about, replace fuse holders and eyelets in BATT BOX commonly referred to at our international dealer as hardwiring.

On You Tube HoglundBusCo has a ditty on ICP Pressure Testing and Repair. They also have some other good information. If you spend some time there you will understand what you are working on and where to start.
Wire problems on push in connectors is a common problem. -
Ongoing problem!
