I was referring to the movie. They have a little of both and that’s what she is looking for.thelushlarry Thanks this.

I’ve been chatting with @x1Heavy and am in awe of the stuff he knows. For me, a quiet nerd who doesn’t like leaving my cats or my apartment, it really is a whole new world. Also he’s a good guy.

I hope retirement is treating you well.Numb Thanks this.

I wondered if @thelushlarry was making a comment on the truth-telling capacities of certain professions. I used to know some sailors, and boy they only spoke the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

You and lush Larry have a point, but I would look for a truckstop out in the country and just keep your ears open until you listen to an interesting story.cathyNYC Thanks this.

I myself ain’t much of a story teller. I live only on a non fiction story life. And when I ran regional back in the day, I didn’t do truck stops. Hated the parking, nasty food. I did fast food. I was always in a hurry to get home and sleep in my bed with my wife and see my kids.
cathyNYC Thanks this. -
I’ve heard healthy meals can be kind of tough to come by. I don’t really have any stories either... happy to be at home and make something up instead.
Your family sounds lucky to have you.
Diesel Dave Thanks this. -
Don't you mean fiction? Cause most of what truckers say is BS
thelushlarry, cathyNYC and Diesel Dave Thank this.
