    Hey all,
I'm looking at CTI(central trucking inc). They have a run where you just bounce between kingman and amarillo terminals. I've been driving since 2012.
    So, 2 questions.
1.Anyone have any info on this particular run? I searched for info on this site, but not really much.

2.Doesn't have to be CTI. I like this run because you only have to do drop and hook from terminals, and you can take off when you want. Any other companies have something like that? Not having to deal with shippers/recievers, take off when you want. Actually, that doesn't seem real. There must be a catch!lol.

    Any help is appreciated,
    thanks,
    Steve

I didn't know of anybody doing that particular run, but that would be a gravy 700 mile a day run, infact over 700, just a tad.

Call the recruiter. I spoke to one and she was friendly and answered my questions. As much as the run is good there were a few things I didn't like

Forward/driver facing cameras (driver facing being my issue)
40cpm to the truck for team, 45 solo
65mph trucks so not going to do that run in 1 day all the time.

The only pro i found, apart from the gravy run was they're flexible with home time. You can take up to 3 weeks off every month, you only have to do 1 run a month to stay employed lol which is great.

Give them a call and see if they're a fit for you. I'm not going to knock them but they will not be my A option.

Iwx has similar runs as well.

It will not be a fit for me, and that 65 would be a downer if I did still live down there.

At one time several companies had terminals at tucumcari and did switches at flag. but I think they have all moved out and or gone out of business.

It's 765 miles, terminal to terminal. You would have to average 69.5 mph to make it in 11 hours. Not going to do that in a 65 mph governed truck.

Yep that would suck, if a guy couldn't legally do it in a day.

Would probably need much faster then 69.5. With the hills.

That's the beauty about my current gig. We can go in whenever we want. Just as long as we do our job.

Not a lot of hills between amarillo and kingman. There are times in the winter that would slow you down or just stop you.
