1.32 would be just as much as most guys if they're on percentage. Trust me every load dont pay 2.00 rpm x 65% to even get 1.30. Then tack on finding loads live load/unload and you look at this way it's all the same. I dont know why 1.32 is bad. Considering consistency can allow for growth. Really if the note isnt too high it can work with discipline.

Just when I thought I’ve read it all
FlaSwampRat and Lepton1 Thank this. -
That consistency is what makes it the killer, there is no avenue to get ahead.
TokyoJoe Thanks this. -
Any driver can add an app on their "smart" phone and see what loads are paying on the spot market. You can look at rates in various areas, or "lanes".
Indeed you are correct that rates can suck the large one. BUT a smart owner operator that either books his/her own loads or at least has a choice of loads can manage to stay in good lanes, OR learn how to NEGOTIATE for a rate that makes sense if you take a load into a dead zone.
When I was an O/O there were countless times I deadheaded for a day or two to get into position for high dollar freight. Why waste time and fuel pulling a max heavy load turds, with receiving hours forcing you to park for a day, for pennies? I would far rather deadhead and be in position to get that high dollar load, without sitting on my ### for a day, and keep on boogying.
If a driver controls what load they take, then LEARN where freight pays best and stick to those lanes. No more whining about "Golly, there ain't no loads out of North Dakota!" -
...i guess you have nothing there since they don't report
Numb, FlaSwampRat and Lepton1 Thank this. -
Keep saving your money and don't take out no loans right now. Economy is scheduled to head for the crapper like any minute now and there will be better deals than that to be had. You don't want to get yourself trapped in a truck you can't pay for.
Stay out of the woods also.FoolsErrand, FlaSwampRat and TripleSix Thank this. -
Easy to tell which news stations you listen to. lol

No, I would not, you would have to expect every time he was late that you needed to go find your equipment. No reason to bow out were all surely entitled to our opinions, And I am certainly not perfect by any means, but the only thing we have to draw from is our own experience, but enough of this even thought I live in Mojave I'm going surfing this afternoon with my daughter I just finished her new board last night.TripleSix and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
you're correct. not that I have a spotless driving record either.lol.
