Believe it or not the Insight looks like a Honda Accord now. And IMHO,it actually looks good compared to versions of the past.

Lately, I've been seeing a lot of Claritys I thought it was the Insight until I googled it. The vertical running lights are striking in traffic, very noticeable. (As are the current Civic taillights, well played designers.) Still not 100% sure what cars do what, I'm still wishing for a new Prelude, CRX or S2000.

Unfortunately the Coupe market (at least here in the States) is all but on life support. Closest thing you can get for Average Joes is the Civic Coupe,as the Accord Coupe was dropped when the sedan was redesigned last year. People nowadays are more interested in crossovers,SUVs & pickups.

Believe me, I like coupes, when my roadster was totaled took me six months to settle on something.

Mustang was the first thought, 2-door, 4 seats, convertible available, RWD, manual, and enough of those things made that price & mileage would be all over the place. Found them as low as $5,000 or a new one for over $50k.

Ultimately I got really picky with options, liked this color, hated the seats, liked these wheels, didn't want automatic, etc. I almost landed on a few, one got sold underneath me, (a guy drove it the day before I did and was supposedly coming back on Saturday to buy, but if he didn't I'd get it next), but ultimately I got to test drive an old Infiniti G37 back to back with a Mustang and found that straight up I preferred the Nissan.

But in the used car market, it always comes down to condition & price, the "right" car appeared one day and I drove 3 hours to look at it, and then ended up taking it home.

Good lord, did I get off topic.

    TL/DR: I bought a used coupe.

Okay back to it, coupes on the market:

    All the "pony cars"
All the Germans offer at least one
    (Problem is they're all expensive)
Hyundai had the Tiburon, Genesis and the Veloster, there's a rumor that the Genesis BRAND will get a luxury coupe. It's not a coupe but the Kia Stinger is a beast, and there are deals on them.
Honda says they're keeping the Civic coupe for now, and it's almost as big as an Accord these days anyway. You couldn't give Accord coupes away. I know because I personally sold Hondas for all of 3 months before they fired me. Couldn't get people to consider a nearly half priced loaded Accord V-6 EX-L stick (with Nav) on the showroom floor. "Nah, show me the CR-V and let me complain it's too expensive.
Toyota wants back in the sporty car market, they just launched a Supra, they have the 86GT, there's rumors of a new MR2 and Lexus actually had 2-3 coupes now. (and they're pretty safe to buy used because Toyota quality, problem is, no sticks!) Nissan just redid the latest version of the G37 coupe last few years but they changed the name to Q-something (60?), theoretically a New Z is around the corner but I think they want to make something cheaper like a modern 240sx or 510. Keep an eye on the auto shows next year.

Coupes aren't dead but people need to buy them.

    mjd4277 Thanks this.

Tell me about it. I’m actually looking at coupes right now to replace one of my sedans. The problem is most of them are out of my budget brand new and the used ones are almost as expensive as the new ones, plus you have to make sure someone didn’t wrap it around a tree somewhere and rebuild it.lol
Finding one with a manual transmission is starting to become like a search for the Holy Grail.lol I’m also looking at a couple of hatchbacks as well.

Funny conversation I had with one used car dealer. He said he would stock "ordinary" stuff. (Sedans, Hyundai, SUVs, etc.) and couldn't give them away. Couldn't stand out from the crowd. Just another unaffiliated used car lot. But when he started specializing in "fun" cars. Coupes, convertibles, Wranglers, sports cars, he got more dedicated and committed customers.

(Edit: funny side story, he says it's getting really easy to get Hellcat Challengers right now. The Demons are hotter, 80% of the people that bought them either can't drive them or are scared of them, and people are generally scared of out of warranty Dodges. If you did want to "collect" one, now that they've taken the depreciation hit, grab one now and put it away.)

I'd start with Cars.com good resource.

But if you're in the northeast pm me and I'll give you a list of places that will probably hook you up.

Cool. I’ve been looking at AutoTrader.com as well (my preferred weapon of choice for car shopping).
