The Hidden Dangers of Cigars

Cigars and Pipes are both just as bad Snuff or Chew.... Cigarettes tend to concentrate the cancer in the throat and lungs while snuff and chew causes it in the gums and cheek.. Cigars and Pipes tend to affect the entire mouth especially the tongue.. Primarily due to Cigars and Pipes are not inhaled but the smoke is allowed to circulate and sit in the mouth.... My father-in-law smoke pipes for years and quit about 15-20years ago (if I member right) back when he first quit they found cancer in his tongue and removed like 1/4 of it.. Last year or so he went to the dentist for regular cleaning and dentist said there is a growth on his tongue sooo that time around they removed about half of his tongue and replaced it with an artificial skin graft.. that job ended up healing wrong and about 4 months ago he had to go back in.. they opened him up again to remove lymph nodes in his neck and the artificial skin graft on the tongue. They then took a HUGE chunk of skin and muscle from his forearm to graft onto the tongue... Yesterday he went back in to get some of the excess dead tissue on his tongue removed....

Personally I would rather just die of lung cancer than go through all of that crap... sooner or later I'll quit smoking Ciggies too but seeing everything the FIL has gone through I don't see much of a point since it could get me in the future anyways even after having quit for a long time.....
