    these two pieces are from used clamp. It's hard now... ceramic or graphite based material ?

    I don't think the can surface temperature will reach 1000F. DPF core insulated inside from the can with ceramic wool wrap.
    On my Volvo gaskets between DOC and DPF made from graphite material.
    But if you want to use something special good place to look McMaster-Carr

    I have been there ... ;-) it's a good place . If they would put actual pictures of materials they have for sale I would buy something there.

    I don't need muffler wrap. no. :)
    Every time when you remove DPF's of DD15 you need to put new flat clamp. There are two flat clamps in 1 box. Each flat clamp is $100-120 at dealer. Old flat clamp can be used if new sealing ribbon is attached. I have more than 25 flat clamps at garage. I don't want to throw them away. Trying to give them second life. Trying to find out what material is that sealing ribbon.
