I've heard all kinds of ridiculous names for flying j. The hook, the flying hook, the J... The slang is always evolving.

 

Are you guys talking about that big toilet that sells fuel?

 

No that's every truck stop now days. Always used toilet tissue next to the toilet. I want Hep A.

I have done 30 years in a local dump truck and have only 1 non preventable 27 years ago I was doing 55 mph in the slow lane and rear ended by a 1 ton flat bed he must have doing 70 + this is in California were the limit is 55.
Sorry dude it's your fault and I would never put you in one of my dump trucks if you can't handle the open road you are not ready to deal with tight job sites, soccer moms getting the kids to school late, steep basement ramps and one lane off camber access roads to custom home on the top of the mountain. we take trucks were they really should not go but we do it anyway.
maybe you can handle a dedicated bottom dump plant haul thats as boring and simple as you can get no backing up no off tracking of the trailer.
the other other guys are right we have a local dump truck operation that when he posts help wanted add the only thing I can read is super 10 and the company name the pay is sxxx the trucks and unsafe the cb,s don't work oh the add is in Spanish but he will hire you if his insurance will let him.

 

Hey, I can understand that. I was going to quit the industry after ABF burned me out. I had one last hail mary throw, and it landed.

 

And the worst part is it doesn't taste nearly as good as it looks.

 

Don’t blame the industry. You need to take ownership of your actions. Three preventables in two years is bad. Do you have any idea as to how much was the cost of repair to the damage that you caused?
