    Agree 100%.

White collar jobs are organizing fast.

Truck drivers are super conservative so I’d expect them just to call it communism while collecting their social security.

Regardless if you are union or not demand fair pay, demand to be treated with respect and don’t take ####. If they don’t then quit. Drivers need to start sticking together and helping each other.

OP: Go work for a small, good company... You will care much less about unions. If you're getting the shaft, walk. Theres plenty of union jobs out there.

Union or not, both are fine IMO. Personally, I'd be against a union coming in where I am because it would only unnessisarily complicate a great working relationship. I wasn't in some past jobs though, thats for sure.

As much as it is, its not a one size fits all industry.

My job is union. We are 37 employees, we got teamsters, laborers and operators.

Being a small company it’s like the union isn’t even there, I’m a teamster but do operate and labor too. In a big company that’s s big no no. Not here, they don’t give a #### if a teamster is running a loader or skid steer.

My boss/owner loves the unions. He is on good terms with all them so he donates old equipment for their training, they come to our parties etc... he doesn’t have to decide what to pay us or deal with benefits. They do all that for him. He loves it.

The union is only a bad thing to the owner if the owner doesn’t way to take care of his employees. We all bust ### and make good money and once it’s time for a raise I can switch to an operating engineer.

He’s a good dude and we have good co workers. There has been ZERO grievances filed in 45 years. It’s not that kind of place, you got a problem say something and it will get handled.

OP I'm with ya, but MOST of today's drivers. Have been successfully "brain washed" against unions. So if you want things like protection against being fired for ########, health care for you and your family, a GASP pension, being paid for ALL the work you do, a higher pay rate, loyalty for longevity, thru better runs or at least first pick. Your a sniveling, communist, snow flake, entitled, cry baby.
They dont connect the rise of the middle class, to a time when most were unionized. Nor do they recognize pay stopped increasing same time unions shrank. Hell back then even if your company wasnt union. They paid about the same and gave almost the same bunnies. Just so the workers would not bring the union in.

Look at the commie Nordic countries that are always flourishing. 80% of the work force is organized.

Then look at #### hole states like Mississippi.

Well, I think a history lesson is needed. Truckdrivers once had the most Powerfull Union in history. The highest % of organized Workers in any segment of the workforce. I hear they’re still around, though they don’t have much Power any more. Corruption being the biggest culprit, but plenty of blame to go around. It’s just easier to blame others. And complain about everything. Lol. I support and still belong to the Teamsters. I have for 34 yrs. Though I haven’t had a Union job in 24 yrs. Unions are history, very interesting history. Read all about it. Read it and weep.

Google Cleon skousens 1963 list of communist party goals, which was admitted into the congressional record that year.
