That's foodservice. This is why I laugh whenever I see one of those "Which is harder, FS or LTL?" questions...

 

Is the entire trailer floor loaded like that? My job everything is palletized, which means sometimes (far too often) a pallet is loaded backwards where stop 4 is all on one side of the pallet, and because it's loaded backwards, I have to dig through stop 5 (and maybe more) to get to it. I would assume floor loading alleviates some of that but I don't know how they load it.

Also, are there no bulkheads in there? How is freezer separated? Separate door up front?

 

The trailer is floor loaded 100%. There is a side door and a bulk head that separates the cooler and dry from the freezer.

They load all the cooler on one side and all the dry on the other and the first stop in theory should be there in your face when you open up the doors.

 

It's interesting seeing how different companies do things. We use side doors, and in theory every thing can be unloaded through the one door. Makes it easier than using multiple doors, but it does lead to other issues when the loads aren't perfect.

 

Even within are company things are different at different warehouses and different accounts. Different parts of the country different stuff. Hell are operation in Canada doesn't even look like are US operation different country different things.

 

This working during the day thing isn't working out for me lol. I'm not cut out for going to work and getting done while the sun is up lol.
