Just in general, that's worth repeating.

Yes No No No.
Needing a CDL and driving a CMV are two different things, yes.
Just because you vehicle is over 10K lbs doesnt mean you are suddenly in a CMV and working for a carrier.
A vehicle under 10k can still qualify as a CMV depending on its use.
At 26001 lbs, your license will need to be upgraded to atleast a class B license. Again, depending on the vehicle you are driving, it can be a non-commercial license.
There is such a thing as non-commercial class A license. Those are like what firefighters have to drive the trucks. What these guys out there with the monster toyhauler trailers SHOULD have, etc. -
Since the op was asking about a commercial venture, I was correct in all cases in answering him.
Yes there are times you are correct, but not for the question asked. -
Okay. Like 2+2=4,but only sometimes. Got it. Thanks for clearing that up.
-
Or you know, actually answering the question asked and not confusing someone with irreverent.
And just ask Intel, 2+2 does equal 5, but only for very high values of two.
(An old Intel CPU bug joke)

Agreed. But I responded to you, and I dont think that was even an answer to the OP's question. So, before I bow out of this enlightening conversation, I just want to make sure I understand the rules that I guess apply to me only. I can only respond to the OP and not any other post. Is that correct? Thanks for clarifying.
