Central home page and click on Logistics and then just put your state in.

Those are the loads Central brokers out.

    There brokered loads!!!

I don't think they thought any drivers would actually look at the board.

Now when we get stuck we ask about some of those loads.

Pity it doesn't say what City they pick up at.

Load board is interesting. Are they brokering out low paying loads, or are these available to L/Os & O/Os?
If you find yourself stranded in BFE, and see any you can deadhead to can you get it to get yourself moving, or use it to route yourself where you want to be? I can guess, but I thought I'd ask. OK, well you sort of answered that, Jess. Will we watch that puppy get buried on somebody else's load boards if it gets too popular? maaaaybe.

I'm wondering if I should start asking questions or not, lord know I don't need to get my name on anyone's black list.

No CENTRAL hate it when we point out there are loads on there load board!!!

Even as a L/O you have to sit where you are until they dispatch you!:biggrin_25516:it annoys the crap outta me.

I think they are low paying loads.

No one at Central likes to even talk about the load board LOL.

I don't know how asking questions would put you on a black list. Seems to me if it gets you moving, your FM would be as interested as you are in putting you on one, unless they have another plan for where to take you. Sounds like an adult conversation to me, Shouldn't cause any hurt feelings, unless you go into it like HEY! WTF!! Why am I sitting here with all these loads in CA on the load board??

ps: That's 50 by the way... not that I'm gonna start pm'ing people..

Too bad. I prefer having adult conversations about how one of those loads would COST the company money if they put you on it, and whatever other reasons they have to leave a guy sitting, rather than "they HATE it" and you HAVE to. Seems like someone could just have a grown up conversation with L/Os about it. Kill the distrust it engenders in a heartbeat. I'd still stew sitting somewhere, but at least I'd understand the logic.

    From the website:
As an operating division of Central Refrigerated Service. Inc. Central Logistics has access to 1,600+ power units and over 2,500 refrigerated, 53' trailers. Each Central tractor utilizes Qualcomm satellite communications.

Isn't that their fleet? hmmmmmmm I don't mean to stir this up....just thinking. The best way to get to the truth is to put yourself in the other's position, understanding what motivates them. PROFIT. Like that's a BAD thing. :biggrin_25525: Same thing that motivates me.

Yes, I do have a laptop that I plan to take with me. I will try my best to post regularly and keep the newbies updated on what central's like for me. Especially since I'm a woman and I feel it would be helpful for me to post my experience for those other ladies out there.

    Stay safe.

We do have convo's about the load board with the FM and she doesn't mind!

I also know another driver that had a heated convo with there FM and I think he ended up getting a load of there.

From what I hear from 6Pak, Lisa is reasonable and I would be asking her.

JJ and I got stuck in Oregon last year for 4 days over the 4th july weekend and boy was he Peeved to put it mildly.
