To err is human. To blame it on others shows management potential.

You shouldn’t be worried about parking if you get a new gig. This beef is between the land owner and your truck owner, has nothing to do with you. No reason you and the land owner can’t be friends,

Well, he kind of dragged me into the middle of it. Why let this drag on so long that he decides it's necessary to hold a driver's truck hostage?

Well, you might look at it that way. Have you had good communication with the owner in the past? Have you walked up to him and explained that you have no income right now, “hey, would you please let me deliver the load and then I’ll bring the truck right back here. Heck, I’ll even drop the keys on the ground so you could find them. I just want to deliver the load so I can get paid for it.” Remember, you and the property owner live in that town and not your company. I really don’t see where there is a problem between the 2 of you unless there’s more to the story.

Tell your boss to pay you X amount more and you will look after parking then patch things up with the tow guy.

When I rented a spot back in the day, another renter lived around the block where he parked the “Company” truck. His company was about 30 miles miles or so away. He did the math and figured he would come out ahead paying himself out of pocket to rent a spot there than to travel back and forth(commute) in he’s personal car. Yes.... company truck. He paid out of his pocket to rent.
