“Up to $68000” means the top driver made $68k. The top drivers usually do 1.5-2X average. Do you think the top driver ran 2 weeks out and 1 week home?

So the average driver probably makes around $40grand. Maybe less.

Ya know Six. I believe I posted this before but I had a trainee who when they received their first training check they were ecstatic. It was a gross check for $350-450. It was the most they ever made in a week in their life. This man was in his 40’s. Now I think I have an basic idea on what it takes to do this job after my first year. There’s no way $40k is worth it, but to that guy? It was a dream come true for him. It’s no wonder this industry has driver issues.

They have zero concept of what a profitable truck actually makes every week. One of my loads per week usually pays me what that guys whole check was.

Correct. But these are brand new CDL holders with zero experience to very little or they’re second chance drivers. My thought is always suck it up for a year at one company and then use the good driving record and 1 full year of experience to make a vertical move to something that pays closer to what a driver is worth with that experience level.

Taking a very fast glance at their site. Trucking Careers of America says in the first paragraph of their home page "As career advisors and job placement specialists, we help cdl drivers plan, develop and manage a professional truck driving career.".

They are a glorified temp agency. Are you their next "Kelly Girl"?

They have no jobs. They have have contacts with folks that are looking for CDL holders.

    FlaSwampRat Thanks this.
