Swift is ok to get your cdl but as soon as you get 6 months or a year under your belt move over to a better spot. Swift is no place to be for the long haul.
asphaltreptile311 Thanks this. -
Swift overspeed violation parameters c. 09/2019: 68+ mph sustained >60sec, overspeed. This one gets points on your safety score. 71+ mph sustained >60 sec, excess speed. This one is liable to get you fired
-
75 won't even get you fired, as long as you bring it back down to 67 or lower in less than 60 seconds. Otherwise my ### would've been grass the other day, instead of me being able to find a place to park and get some rest. That was a pretty rude wakeup call that I wasn't as alert as I thought I wasSirscrapntruckalot and Moosetek13 Thank this.

I thought you had a dedicated thread for these?

I'm seriously about to ask Victor about the stupid camera. It doesn't even get them 99% of the context of a given situation, and then they penalize you heavily anyway. Because apparently a truck only has one side: forward
-
I've never really tested the speed policy, I try to keep it within the limits.
And I've had a few of those 'wake up calls' myself. -
So, It seems that Vic the Russian, who has probably never been in a truck, would rather you keep your eyes on the speedometer instead of the road.

My truck ran 74mph for 9 minutes, they called me later that afternoon and I wasn’t hearing any of that bs in my hotel room. It was a mechanic at freight liner where the truck was, neat how they turn up the truck just for a test drive, screw going slow.

Problem with this thinking is if you can not control the speed of vehicle on a hill or anywhere the truck is really out of control along with the driver. With the wrecks being recently of speeding down hills and smashing into stopped vehicles after passing by run away trunk ramps this is only going to bring more regulations and then more complaining. Control the vehicle.
