Can't you just deflate it? It will be much easier to pack then.

Photography, I have several camera lenses that are above $1,000 in value.

And since I spend 1 week at "home" every 2-3 months, I would never have any hobbies. Usually I tend to spend most of my hometime during "chores" and other stuff I cant get done while on the road.

Its a hobby that I have picked up while driving 48 states, because I am not the person to just sit in my truck and play video games or watch television while trapped somewhere due to a layover. It has made this life on the road somewhat more bearable.

    There you go.

I used the old Pentax 1000 35mm with upwards of 200mm lenses when necessary. A good camera for it's day. It's too bad no one makes a digital equivalent.

I actually include camera picture taking as a form of hobby, but it is not a main focus of my life. One could argue that I prefer a quality video camera instead. Im working on acquiring another one which will be pretty pricey.

The reason for this is I am excessively dissatisfied with smart phone cameras. They are cute and try hard but in the end, just too tiny.

Finally I leave you with a smile on this concept.

Imagine a day in Williamsburg, a VERY high end situation. Pa loads up on the cameras as if he is going to battle which he is.

Hands me a little tiny disposible 110 film camera about the size of say a laptop battery and all the personality of one.

I finally told him WTF am I supposed to do with this?

His eyebrows disappeared as he processed the contexually correct statement.

Took him days to stop laughing which is exceedingly rare for that old coot....

And why can't you bring it on an airline?

    Do you have that much?

OP, rent a car! Your company would probably rather pay this than a plane ticket anyway, and I would hope they trust you to drive a thousand miles without a problem. Heck, rent a car and don't go home! If you're a photographer head to the nearest NP with a $40 tent from Walmart.

I don't get the problem either. This job forces you to be creative.......so be creative.

I used to be a package handler at UPS a long long time ago... When the supervisor is hounding the slave laborer ( package handler) to move quicker, those special packages labeled "fragile" would be thrown extra hard onto the conveyor belt... Putting "fragile" all over your box is a waste of time...

You dont really think a high school kid working part time like a dog for UPS as a package handler really cares if that package makes it to you in one piece do you?

Or get some tighty whiteys, add a little brown spray paint, and leave them in strategic locations.
