Having a high end acoustic guitar in the truck?

Just sucks that ego ruins all great things. Although I do think Van Halen wouldn't have had the long term success they experienced without bringing Sammy Hagar into the fold.

 

There are a few Vai songs that I love, but for the most part, once a guitarist reaches a certain level of proficiency, they all start to sound the same.

 

That said, this is a master work by a genius.

I agree 100% with this!!! I know it’s blasphemous to say, but Sammy was the better musician, and they put out much more interesting music with him. And I LOVED the Roth era of VH.

I get that. He's almost too good and too fast and too technical for folks, other than players to appreciate.
Saw Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Buddy Guy last week and right now I'd say KWS and Bonamassa are at the top of the heap along w Satriani of course, but those guys are sellin it.

 

And so as not to derail the thread. Since the 50s' this is what the pros use to carry, store and ship their gear.
