Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Ugh... Thank All that’s Good that Home Time is starting... the front Environmental Controls have never been quite right... they replaced the main control unit (so they said) a few months ago but it’s been acting up a bit lately.

Today it went out... ugh... so that and the Engine Check Light That needs looked at but can’t seem to get into a shop and the WM Shop says they don’t even have a password to run connect the computer to a Volvo Truck... (WTF?)

So I go to bed tonight and the back unit was working.... but wake up a bit warmer... start playing and yup, the back A/C went out too.

Are these two systems connected in some way? How is it that both can go on the fritz at the same time??? Or is it the same system with different controls?

Oh well... I’m sure Abilene will be getting me to a shop much sooner now... lol

 

Rolled in to the Exit 76 Truck Stop in Berea, and the lot was completely empty except for two trucks.

It's the sort of thing that makes you wonder "What does everybody else know that I don't?"

I had to go inside to check and see if they were still in business. They are. I just happened to show up after all the hometime trucks had pulled out.

 

I got a load assignment with 3 stops.
My first stop is a “Hillphonenix”... run hard for two days and get to the consignee on time at 6:39 PM ... appointment is for 8:00 PM. I go to check in with the store manager and he says.... “What delivery?”... There is no contractor here to unload! I verified my address and yes this is the place and I’m stuck here until tomorrow because No one Knows!
Detention, Lay over.... I rather be moving! My other two stops let’s say ... Not happening! ... In Spanish... No Va Suceder!

You don't want to see how many trips I've been on since leaving the house 2 weeks ago,it would probally flip to a new page lol.

New trip everyday,although I did get this sweet run out to W.Memphis,that's the new west for me,that's ok though.

 

Nice to have few days off, coming back out Tuesday from WA from the house. Unfortunately my fiancé passed away Thursday night during emergency surgery from a massive heart attack/sudden cardiac arrest. Been having a hard time coping and still in a state of shock. She is going to be cremated and Ill get her ashes. May have to ask for an extra day but supposed to be all done by Tuesday though. Deciding whether to stay here or move back to WV where my family is. I like the mountain views I have in WA here though. Hard losing the love of your life....
