I don't remember them talking about giving it away... You might be right, though?

I went to the Chinese grocery store and got a can of cat food, it says to sauté it and serve it with wide noodles and fried rice.

Did you get the ground or chunky style. The ground is good for meatballs. Cat is available fresh all year, the annual dog meat festivals are usually in June. You can get canned dog all year, but people say it’s not that good compared to fresh. I have been told, the best canned dog has a mostly red label with a black silhouette of a German Shepard.

When I awoke the next morning, I managed to crawl down to a rocky beach on the Gaonachet. I was very weak from the loss of blood which had dried and covered the left side of my head and shoulder. I put my lips to the cold water and tried to sip. It was really hard to hold myself in position to drink and I kept slipping and getting my nose full. I coughed and gagged and tried several times before I was able to get a good drink. The fog was patchy but, here and there I could see to the other side and suddenly, I froze with fear. Four of them stood on the other side watching me. They had me and weren't no place to hide nor had I the strength to move.

I was trembling with fear and cold. In their plain unobstructed view, no more than 20 yards away, I lay there watching as they mounted their horses and slowly crossed the river. Their horses seemed so sure footed in the shallow water with not even the slightest stumble. The sway of the riders looked powerful and deliberate and in anticipation of the horses stride and I could only watch as they neared my side of the river and loped onto the rocky beach.
