Do you have some sort of MPG gauge device? The problem I have with these statements about bad fuel is I never see an actual study about it to exclude factors that are known to decrease MPGs such as terrain, road quality, weather, speed, and so on. If one records this and finds that every time they fuel the yellow diesel, their MPGs lower under 6 when their average is over 7, then we may have something legit.

The only accurate measurement device is a pencil and paper.
    Miles divided by gallons.
Anything else is just a estimate.

That RTS is nice, though they try to push PFJ slot. It makes getting fuel in places like PA not so bad. They will knock off at times 50 cents or more per gallon, I know at the Sapp Bros in PA itll take off 40 cents if I am not mistaken, then the turnpike is generous in discounts

I’m a company driver, but I have to do my own fuel with a com data card. They like us to go to Speedway because the company gets a kick back. But there’s not a Speedway really on my route. However there is a Circle K branded Marathon that has diesel fuel and I go there. I don’t have super big tanks on my truck, but this was a First with the Marathon Diesel I finally broke a personal best I went 2 weeks all city driving mind you (food service) without having to get fuel. Now I have to get fuel on Monday I’m getting low, but I did it. My trucks nothing special 2015 Volvo 11 series diesel with 10 manual transmission with almost 300,000 hard city miles on it pulling doubles at night and doing food service work during the day. It’s “fleet maintained” meaning good enough to get by it doesn’t spend tons of time in the shop or anything like that.

I realize this is all anecdotal and not actual science but I did get 2 weeks out of a full tank of gas which I thought was pretty good.

Have you tried NASTC? I hear their discounts are a little better. I guess now without Speedway, NASTC may be the same as RTS. Hahaha.

I have never tried NASTC. Do they have Love's and TA on there? I have heard massive discounts at TA/Petro

Only TA/Petro and lots of small chain truck stops. TA/Petro does have really good discounts. These are the discounts for my last two fuel stops.

No. I don't have any special device other than what the ECM shows and what I can calculate by "pen and paper" at fill up intervals. My routes are pretty much the same. Yes, the winds, weather and load weights play a factor but I can also "feel" how the truck is running on a bad or good diesel or at least so I think. I don't have any scientific evidence or knowledge to back this up. Just my perception. I would not even want to argue, if someone with good knowledge told me that that deep yellow color has nothing to do with diesel quality and Speedways have good diesel. I'd be surprised though.

September 3 was the last time I was at the fuel station, which I thought was pretty good.
