He never said he was paying on a 1099.
Being one of his costs is workman's comp it sounds like he is planing to pay with a W2.
Too Good To Be True?

He doesn't have to have workman's comp or occupational accident insurance on himself if he isn't an employee of his company (and it doesn't sound like he is planing being one).
Its only required for employee's and if he was paying on a 1099 he would have none.
User on here as so quick to try to find something to bash new posters about that they just jump to all kinds of assumptions. -
Which, if that is the case and he is on W-2, it's actually a bit worse as it would not only have to include salary and taxes, but also stuff like unemployment.
No, he's going way too cheap on the most important expense. A good ruck and a bad driver equals a bad truck (wrecks, torn up, etc) in no time at all. While a truck that is not pristine can be taken care of by a good driver. Of course if you expect a good driver to drive a ratted out truck you're delusional too. -
No I'm just sick and tired of these people who have no clue about the industry, running out and buying a truck...
Seems to be an endless supply of them coming on here daily.skytrash and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
yea i know that part. the 1099 driver has to be covered on workers comp or occup.
