FYI some cities do not allow truck parking on public or private places. You can not overturn those tickets.
NavigatorWife, buddyd157 and deathB4decaf Thank this. -
I asked two specific questions..
I do not need legal advice.
I already did my due diligence in reading the city's statues and ordnance regarding parking, stopping and standing for vehicles over10,001 gvw. I already looked into zoning. I looked into this cities police reputation. I have spoke to a lawyer in the adjoining city...NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
@Jpnorwalk79 you seem very condescending. Step over them and lead, no thanks. You didn't provide all of the necessary details in the original post and then want to come at others in the manner, seems odd.
I truly hope things work out for you in this scenario.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
You got a simple parking ticket and you're making a big deal out of it. What will you do the first time you get a serious moving violation?Rideandrepair, buddyd157, G13Tomcat and 2 others Thank this. -
Well that ticket will get thrown out if ur telling the truth. Just get a ping on the eld it will show u on a different street if ur telling the truth.
G13Tomcat Thanks this. -
Heck, i got a parking ticket in Hackensack, NJ while i was backed into a dock. Old 1930's warehouse and a modern T/T. The front axle was on the sidewalk and he wrote me up. Ticket was $35.
Parking tickets are not moving violations and don't go on your MVR. Unless the fine is some foolishly high, pay it and forget it. Not worth the effort to take time off, pay an attorney and then end up paying the $35.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
To answer your questions...yes and yes. @Ridgeline was spot on with his response. Good luck in your endeavours to get it overturned. Keep us updated.
Edited to add: while local cops can make you move most of them are not trained on FMCSA rules. Next time you feel the need to tell someone to call the cops for something trucking related call the Highway Patrol. They are trained in FMCSA and you have a better chance of siding with you.Last edited: Sep 21, 2019

I was cited in Commerce City Ca for parking infringement. In a legal parking zone. Fought it with representation, lost, appealed, lost again. I think it was $250 bucks.
Stopped going to that shipper. And I may have had a dream about ripping down around 20 no parking signs in the area and throwing them in a dumpster ... figured that would cost around 5x the ticket with materials and labor. I dream about an eye for an eye retribution quite often.NavigatorWife and Jpnorwalk79 Thank this.
