    Hopefully there never IS a next time, and you will back off somewhere within the 5 to 7 miles of being tailgated, before the upgrade; so as NOT to lose uphill momentum. I've done that NUMEROUS times pulling tanks, UNGOVERNED. It's NOT a p'ing contest....what we are ALL trying to get you to see. Not saying he was right; but you missed the opportunity to be the 'professional.'

    Oftentimes, being the betterman, means backing down. In MANY aspects of life. Take it from some of us 'older' hands, O/P.

    Even if its UP the dang hill. Let 'Billy Big Rig' be JUST that. You got a manual, right? Easy to recover, even after losing momentum. I can go DOWN an exit ramp in 4th, and back UP the entrance ramp (uphill, fully loaded tank) in 4th...as well. Momentum nonwithstanding; can't keep any at the red light. Mind you, I'd not advise that for a rookie, but it is what it is....

    He was wrong, and you were... 'wronger' << not a real word but you get the gist. IMHO.

    actually i was minding my business keeping it as close to an average speed of 60 MPH as possible, next time i'll slow down just to get rid of someone like that. he was driving like a hot head.

    actually for him to just "barely got around you"....you definitely SAW what was happening, and yet you continued to stay on the gas. had there been an accident, YOU could have been charged with racing.

    i now put into question your previous accident that put YOU INTO THE DITCH..you SAW that car at the intersection, i'll just bet YOU GASSED ON IT to get there first...

    it's all becoming clear to me now, who has a problem out there.

    after 48 years, i can "read" into things that someone is trying to hide.

    IMHO, Six.... 'new' drivers should get their 'feet wet' in dry vans (okay maybe reefers, idk not my thing....) but Tanks? Flatbeds? Yeah, nope. Just IMHO. Less casualties, should there be any. Boxes tend to drift away with less damage to those around them.

    Oh wow.. I FORGOT he already had that... SHEESH on me. :( Now I see where @TripleSix is coming from.. i TOTALLY overlooked that part. Not everyone can roll a tank and walk away. I know two; one personally and one from here.

    Easier to swallow your pride for a minute versus letting the moron cause an accident that could kill someone. You have to train yourself to let them go, and trust me, its not easy. Especially when another driver disrespects you like that with his careless driving. But the longer you drive, the more wisdom you gain. Once you gain that wisdom, you will see things like this coming well before it happens. When you've reached that point where you can swallow your pride, and prevent a situation like that happening, only then you can call yourself a professional. And hey, its less stressful to let em go and just call em a moron on the cb as they pass
