Does anyone know if you can get past Houston or do you have to go around?

Doesn't look good in the Houston area. They were doing water rescues from homes in the Winnie area earlier today, 4-5 ft of water in the homes already.

An I-10 bridge in Houston has now been closed because of barges breaking loose of their moorings and hitting bridge pilings underneath. They showed one on the Weather Channel sitting cattiwampus underneath it.. As of 8:20 CST, 9/20/19. It will have to be inspected to determine if any damage has been done, and if they can reopen it or not.

I would check the TX DOT site. Conditions.drivetexas.orgGregcruz99 Thanks this. -
Since looking it up there are at least 2 pilings underneath the bridge that have been busted up.

From what I see, I think I would take some back roads and go around. -
