Federal stimulus road signs rile up some taxpayers

IL also. has a bunch of them. Why not use that money for more fixes. The roads are horrible everywhere these days.

 

I too, agree with the stupid signs. I see them everywhere anymore, not just a few states. CA, has so much writing on their signs, it's ridiculous. I feel that this is unnecessary and a huge waste of money. This is like bragging, look at this, look what we did, aren't you proud of what your state is doing for your roads, as my tires hit a pothole at the same time as I'm reading a sign, yep i'm real proud of what you did, by the way you missed one.....LOL

 

Typical government incompetence. Just like do it twice construction. Cut it three times and its still too short.

 

Everyone here is a tax payer, so write your representatives, both state and local. If enough people speak to them about it they may make a change. That's about the best one can do.

I wonder if this is part of the agreement for the states to get the funding from the federal government.

I agree totally with what you say. One thing all the information on those signs does though, is tells us who exactly we complain to.....not that it would do any good. But maybe with enough pressure on those in charge......never mind. I might as well talk to the wall since the government doesn't listen to the peons anyway.
