I am an experienced driver of over 10 years, just found out today that one of my previous employer put that I abandoned my vehicle when I quit. I never knew that it was there, and its really becoming a problem now.
obviously I can go the long route of disputing it and spending money to clear it but in the mean time I need to be able to earn a living

Most of the craigs list companies dont use dac. Thats what I did back in 2014 and hooked up with a nice little 10 truck company.

it will not cost you any money to dispute the abandoned equipment entry. contact DAC via thier website and ask for a rebuttle form.

state your case, clearly and in plain ENGLISH. they will check into it.

however, when and where you turned in the equipment could be at issue.

most companies like the stuff to be dropped off at a terminal, preferably your home terminal, and not a drop yard.

Economic losses can be worked around by joining really small trucking companies that can use you in the morning with a dispatched load as soon you sign the pile of papers and go home and get rested. These companies by and large don't rely on DAC to tell whats what. And a percentage simply don't have time for that.
