Actually it started coding the night before and knew it was a board problem cause it wouldn't shut off with the panel control.
Pulled the engine panel and unplugged the harness .

Like these new Freightliner at GO Express, you can only idle above 90 F or below 20 or 25 F, don't remember exactly. Doesn't bother me anymore, I left GO two weeks ago, that POS Cascadia and I didn't get along, that truck made me sick!
No more reefer for me, and back in a 2019 Volvo with O/O specs :) 20190922_111551.jpg 20190922_111609.jpg 20190922_111645.jpg

Up until recently you could get 1.20 to 1.40 a mile but now its 1.00 a mile for the most part .

The main reason to leave was that Cascadia. Was driving this truck for two hrs and my butt and back started hurting. 3 weeks till I got home again and it was just a nightmare. The new smell of this truck was so bad that I got a headache every day. The exhalation of theses chemicals from the cheap plastic was so bad, my wife was standing outside of the truck when I cleaned her out at home and she said, she can smell it a few feet away, this was after I had the truck for 4 weeks.
Another reason was that dispatch was lying to me too much about available loads. They have their buddies who get the easy and good loads and I wasn't one of them. Running my butt off with loads that were not ready on time just to sit and wait a day to get the next load to run my butt off. Still got my miles, but the way how I got them didn't work out for me anymore. They hire more and more new drivers that are dumb as a rock and you have to work with them.
Too often I had to call the shop when I picked up a loaded trailer with worn out tires. It was my lost time and money
I see it going downhill more and more at GO and this truck I got was the last straw.

The new truck I have now rides so smooth, it's a 740, a bit less room and storage than my last 780, but 500 HP engine, additional air ride an the steers, 75 mph, bunk heater but no APU but I can idle whenever I need to feel comfortable and so on. With this truck driving makes fun again :)
I don't have to swap trailers and deal with the incompetence of other drivers.
Was tired of all that reefer ######## sitting for hours and wait. I rather work two hours to secure my load than sitting at cold storages and be treated like crap.
And I can keep my schedule, 4 weeks on and one week off ;)
