Scammed on Ebay purchasing a truck.

In this day and age, it would be rare to ship anything of any value, without insurance, and no more than it cost, why would you.

Something like that blanket would be hard to put a price on, but most stuff is readily replacable, and if insurance pays for it, it now belongs to the insurance company or shipper, to throw away, sell or do what they please with it.
About the only way that becomes a concern, is if the labeling has come off the package, for them to keep it in their warehouse until they sell it. Other times it is just delivered to the wrong address and lost, but they don't sell them then.

UPS auctions off trailer loads of damaged/lost packages the paid insurance on. It's kinda like buying a storage unit, you really don't know what your gonna get.
