Yes they do have a big lot. But kind of hard to get a chicken fried steak there when all they have is a Popeye's and Burger King.

Well i guess i would trust that food, over that of the issues faced by the salmonella, e-coli bacteria that has plagued many of those trashy pre-packaged fast food places. I will take a sit down, home cooked meal over fast food every day of the year. If one is not available, than i cook for myself in my truck, or BBQ in good weather.starmac and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
When I was OTR my first year , iron skillet or Denny’s was fine dining ! Sadly iron skillet seems to have went downhill. I quit eating at the one in Kingdom City.

Hard to find good waitresses too.
Whatever happened?
Why can't truckers sit down in a dimly lit restaurant at the truckstop with uniformed waitresses filling your coffee cup with a smile after a long hard day? Like it used to be.
When I started,After 10 hours out there on a cold day...All i wanted to do was sit at the Bar-Light up a smoke-Drink a few cups of coffee,BS with the guys....
It has so Changed For the Worse......

If your down that way going through Birmingham, jump off I65 at Finley Avenue go west about 3/4 mile and hit Niki’s West. Great food, you can park a truck there but no overnights.
If continue west it will run you into I20 and 79.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -

There's several Petros that have decided to cater to the yuppie rather than the trucker.
Fargo and Albert Lea are for yuppies now.
