Well since you never actually worked for that company name then you should be successful in disputing it. Worth a try, if you don't you only have yourself to blame.

 

true that everything dotted and crossed and waiting to mail it. Also according to fcra they can be sued.It even says that in information included with dac report.

It is hard that as a trucker our DAC's are to be used as cannon fodder. Only to make it that we the trucker are undesirable for rehire from some ruthless manager thinking they are being responsible. I appreciate this board as it has been one for healing. I still have dreams of driving, and would like to do so given the proper chance.

I would tell you of the dream I had last night, but this is not the place for it.

I am also thankful that this board has a relief to abused DAC's. That we can get them cleaned up. NOw if only legislation could be passed to make it illegal for these supposed "legal managers" to face penalties for falsifying legal documents based on their mismanagement.

 

When I quit the otr company I drove for, I was told it would be ok to leave at terminal close to where I live. So, I did.
Two days later, I was told that if I did not return truck to home terminal, it would be put on DAC as truck abandonment. So, I got back in the truck, and drove it the three and a half hours to the home terminal. Went down the road to a pay phone, and called the supervisor. He called the shop to verify they had the truck, and said I was good to go.
I went to a company that does not check DAC, and worked for them for the last 6 years. Since they don't check DAC, I don't know if there is anything negative on my DAC. Hopefully not.

They can be sued and it says it under fcra. You should send off for a free copy of your dac.
