The old fire stick is on there for now until my radio comes back. It looks nice in that spot!

What are you using between the mount and the stud?

I have a 1” thick chunk of rubber cattle mat very tough rubber shoved in there. Between the stud and can to keep it from flexing.

This is the rubber on the back and the stud has mastic tape wrapped around it to help preserve the paint. It didn’t budge at all held strong.

I ran all night with the firestick and it did good but I will defiantly need a quick connect if it becomes the keeper antenna. It was 1/8” short of the catwalk at the dairy last night. At the tank wash today it’s fine nothing even close.

The interference / noise is all but gone with the ground strap I was picking people up a good 5 to 6 miles out with the firestick which is pretty good! Good enough for me so the Wilson might get put on the woods truck. We will see when I stick my main radio back in.

    You lost me there?

I made this one specific to the need I have for an exact height.thats the reason for the drop is to get the tip of the antenna where it needs to be to miss the catwalks at dairy’s.

Do they make one for this purpose? I didn’t see any when I looked. I’ve already had a bird pirch mount break and now the current mirror mount cracked after 3 months and had to be aluminum welded buy a friend. I’m not very impressed with the strength of them.

If they make a drop mount I’d definitely look at it!
