dealer put in both ecu and ecm computers costing me $ 6,000.00 and its still shorting out gauges and miss firing. I just cant find the short circuit ? I need more Ideas where to search from people who have found a short w/this 07 volvo d12 465 hp day cab or 07 and later models THANKS IN ADVANCE

When is it shorting out.. while you drive or as soon as you connect battery cables? I'd start with the power harness to the ecm as it gives signals to gauges and injectors.
Check the whole harness especially on bends and wherever there is zip ties fastening the loom to something -
ok thank you very much! sir I will look there tomorrow I spent 8 hrs today searching wires, harnesses, battery cables, tore dash out ,searched under chassy ,removed and cleaned all connections and grounds every wire under hood ,even back behind motor by bell housing,ect. And yes its when Im driving motor shorts out making it miss fire and speedometer not working 90 % of the time.Today found 4 wires in 4 different places rubbed bare,I spliced , replaced and repaired them properly.( Takes many hours sometimes to find short circuit wire or bad connection RIGHT !

Yea it is a hassle. I attached the diagram for power introduction to the ecm if it helps.
Also I'm still not fully convinced that something is shorting out. Are you blowing fuses and replacing them? because if you aren't then there are other things to check like the key on signal. It goes to the fuse box through a 5 amp fuse and should be called ignition, key, ... something along those lines. If that signal is dropping out its the same as pulling key out.
